“ACG+ Capital Project”

Last Friday I attended the prize presentation ceremony of the “ACG+ CapitalProject”. This project aims to encourage ACG (Animation, Comics and Games) design and brand building by the young generation. I am pleased to see the brilliant creativity and entrepreneurship skills of the young people of Hong Kong.

In 2015, the value added in nominal terms contributed by creative industries exceeded $57 billion, accounting for 2.5% of our GDP. These industries also employed over 135 000 persons. The Government will continue to allocate resources to support development of creative industries, with a view to diversify our economy and provide more quality jobs for our young people.
